This is a take on classic s’mores where I swap out graham crackers and the layer of chocolate forĀ Lecleric Celebration cookies. This cookie has the chocolate attached to it so it’s one less step in an already really easy recipe. I also prefer the taste of the cookie compared to the classic graham cracker (I have a really sweet tooth). To “adult” these s’mores, you can use the dark chocolate version of the cookies, which is technically a healthier chocolate.
TO MAKE THIS S’MORE ALTERNATIVE YOU WILL NEED:
First you need a campfire. To make your fire start easily use our best fire starter method.
Once you have that golden glow and the coals are burning bright, you can start making your s’mores.
1. Grab your bag of marshmallows.
2. Put the marshmallows on the sticks and get cooking.
You may accidentally catch a few on fire…if you are quick you can blow it out. But don’t eat the burnt ones…unless you like burnt ones, of course.
3. Roast your marshmallow until it’s golden brown.
4. Get your box of cookies ready.
5. Grab two cookies
6. Squish the marshmallow between two cookies. Chocolate layer squishes the marshmallows of course.
7. Then take that cookie and eat it!
These s’mores are huge hit with kids and adults alike. Just ask Brooke–she will give you thumbs up as they finger-licking good. Literally finger licking…bring a face cloth or wet wipes.
Have you tried this alternative to the classic S’mores? What do you think? If you haven’t, come on, give it a try… you know you want to…
