Well, first off, let’s explore some of the common myths…
MYTH: Hypnotism is BLACK MAGIC or even VOODOO!
FACT: Nope, not at all, it is actually scientific, with plenty of studies to back it up. It is NOT supernatural nor of the occult in nature. It is purely a natural manifestation of the wonderful powers of the human mind.
MYTH: The hypnotherapist can put me under a spell and control me!
FACT: A hypnotherapist can not make you do, anything that you do not want to do. PERIOD.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, relaxing process that guides you into an altered state of mind by bypassing the conscious mind, allowing direct access to your subconscious mind. These subconscious, underlying thoughts are where negative beliefs and compulsive behaviours are stored and stop you from reaching your full potential. Once in this heightened awareness, we work together to place positive suggestion into the subconscious mind. The mind will only store suggestions that go along with your own moral code and ones that you deep down agree with.

Anyone can be hypnotized if they truly want to be and simply allow it to happen. Approximately 90-95% of adults can be hypnotized to some degree; many will respond very rapidly and can enter a deep trance very quickly, while some many need a few sessions to get to that same deep state.
First, we will sit down and discuss your goals for the session. For example, we could focus on that piece that is holding you back or bothering you or even journey into a past life in a regression. Then, you’ll sit or lay down in a relaxing position, typically wrapped in a warm blanket (your body temperature will often dip when in this state). Relaxing music will often be heard playing in the background, or you may hear the birds chirping if you are having an outdoor session in one of our hammocks on the property. I’ll guide you into a state of complete relaxation using progressive relaxation techniques. This part is oh so relaxing…we’ll do some visualization exercises and imagine the most relaxing scenes possible. Along the way, I’ll guide you and provide prompts to help you access the deeper parts of your mind where we can work together to change negative thoughts.
The session is completely interactive and you’ll remember it all. At the end, you’ll feel very refreshed as a session is equal to having a well needed sleep, and you will have a new outlook on old beliefs.
Hypnotherapy has been known to be a very fast technique compared to other traditional therapies. Permanent changes can happen in as little as 1-2 sessions; though for multiple or more complex issues we typically need 3-6 sessions. A complex issue like weight loss often takes 12 session as there is often many underlying reasons to why one holds onto the weight and you literally need to work through all the layers to unblock all the deep seated beliefs.
